Our Founders happen to be the most knowledgeable Web App Developers on the planet. If you don't know about Web Apps, check back here and we'll give you a little history - it's quite interesting, relevant and important.
Basically, we can do just about everything with Web Apps that App Store Mobile Apps can do - only 10Xs faster and cheaper. Web Apps, also know as HTML5 Apps, Progressive Web Apps, Web Applications, etc. can basically have their very own Mobile App Icon, which is EXACTLY like App Store App Icons - in fact, anyone can add your Web App Icon to their phone (iOS or Android - any phone) and it'll get added just like an App Store Icon and there's literally NO difference. No one in the world can tell a Web App Icon from an App Store App Icon just by looking at it.
The image on the left below demonstrates how your App Icon might look on an iPhone (this works for all Androids too). And the image on the right demonstrates that we have the technology to detect whether a user already has your Web App or not - and if they don't we can show them a custom screen, message and icon quickly explaining to them how to add your Web App Icon to their phone.
But, perhaps the coolest thing about Web Apps is that unlike basic Mobile Websites (ie. how your website looks on any phone), Web Apps are full-screen - just like App Store Apps. This immerses the user fully into YOUR App - whatever it is. And, we've figured out how to make this about as seamless as it can be. Note: We actually specialize in revolutionary Native Mobile App technology AND revolutionary Web App technology, so we know a great deal about the differences and limitations of both.
Anyway, it's easier than people think to convert their existing website into a fully-functional Web App. And, we believe in the near future almost ALL websites WILL be Web Apps. Heck, it was something Steve Jobs himself originally believed and he even built the original iPod and iPhone around the idea and premise until some very specific things happened that made him change course and create the whole idea of "Native" Apps. We'll write more about all that later though...
