CrowdKode is actually not a crowd-funding site or platform.
Though we often use the term "crowd-fund", CrowdKode is not a traditional
crowd-funding platform. It’s actually a community-networking
platform based around voting and micro-funding (ie. group-funding).
Members don’t pay money for equity. They co-fund or contribute money
for the chance to group-fund (or co-fund) the creation of new technology -
for which they’d be entitled to a copy of the source code, membership,
access, etc.
However, Members do have the option to post Campaigns "For Profit" (also referred
to as "Private" Campaigns/Projects) - these allow all Co-Funders to share
ownership of the newly created tech or project.
After the new tech is created, members are more than welcome to create official
Partnerships or official Limited Partnerships around that new tech - or
CrowdKode can over-see and manage the group
as a pseudo partnership
within the structure of the CrowdKode Organization, which is a Limited Partnership.
1. CROWD-KODE FOR PROFIT
Crowd-kode new tech(nology) or your ideas and/or others’ ideas for profit
- or even for existing businesses (like for growth or expansion). Creators/Posters
can optionally offer various perks in exchange for your participation and funds.
Some examples: Crypto, AR, VR, Blockchain, Cyber-Security, SAAS, Mobile Apps,
Websites, Software, Voice, AI, etc.
Members can crowd-kode a project with other to flip/sell or grow and then try
to sell.
2. CROWD-KODE FOR SAVINGS
Crowd-kode your own Dev(evelopment) Projects, or new hires (ie. workers, contractors,
consultants or employees). You can also crowd-kode tech, services and things
you need or want - or wishlist items.
People and Businesses spend money on a lot
of similar things, so CrowdKode helps you split those costs, instantly increasing
the buying power of your money.
3. CROWD-KODE FOR FUN
Crowd-kode an app or some new tech just for fun or pure entertainment - or something
for you and other co-funders to be able to use. These can cover everything from a
silly idea to something that provides some kind of super specific service for
something you do or use or are passionate about.
4. CROWD-KODE FOR CAUSES
Crowd-kode something like new tech or new workers for a Cause that you care about
and get a tax write-off in the process. Lots of people donate money - that’s
easy, but creating the right kind of tech for a Cause or Organization could be a
complete game-changer.
